Henry Callahan has always been fascinated with two and three-dimensional spatial relationships, constantly seeking out new and interesting combinations of texture, form and color.

Callahan, who was schooled as a graphic designer and a painter, has worked in a number of positions from art director to owner of his own marketing communications company in Baltimore, MD prior to moving to Fort Lauderdale, FL in 2000. Henry has been able to explore his own creative direction through painting, a calling he pursued on a full time basis until 2007, when he took a position with a marketing communications firm as director of client services. Currently he continues to work and paint every day, taking pleasure in south Florida's tropical environment - ocean, sky, and the incomparable clarity of light and color - which continues to dramatically influence his paintings.
